The following ‘FAIR PRACTICES’ are in accordance with FWICE Guidelines, Labour Law and established norms of ‘HEALTH and SAFETY’.
All members should work strictly on an 8 Hr. Shift Basis. Any extension should not exceed an additional 4 Hrs. A single working day should not exceed a maximum of 1/2 Hrs.
All Meal Breaks should be strictly adhered to 1 Hour for Lunch and Dinner & 1/2 Hour for Breakfast and Evening Snack.
Breaks should be taken at prescribed times depending on Shift Timings.
A minimum Turn Around time of 12 Hrs. between consecutive Call Times is a must.
Allowances on Outdoor Shoots and Conveyance Charges for in-Mumbai Shoots are payable by all Producers.
All Professional Assignments should be formalized by a written Contract, Deal Memo or MOU before starting work; A signed copy should be with both Parties; which should be registered with the respective Unions.
In case of Disputes the respective Association should be the primary Arbitrator.

Greetings of the day.as iam in practice of cinematography from past several years,in different places of India.as my dad was in Army.I came to know about W I C A by one of my friend,Mr.S.Dutta when I met him in Hyderabad, shooting schedule. I appreciate the recent stand WICA has taken against foreign cameraman working in India without proper permit.After all Indian cameramen cannot shoot in UK for their production .So why should we have to take it lying down unless it is a special case.
These days Models are imported cheap and it is accepted here because they are fair skin.Then it does affect the job that is snatched away from local person.And when this happens in large scale,it can be bad in the long run.
