After 40 years of making the most popular dollies, Panther introduces the X Type Dolly.
The dolly has three steering modes in the basic version: CRAB, FRONT, REAR. Various wheel arm positions are adjustable. For the use of the X-Type Dolly as a Mini Base Dolly without column, a base plate with turnstile mount is available.

- Camera travels from ground level to eye level ( so no more changing as was in older dollies the camera from high to low or low to high– from 30 inches low to 57 inches high without needing to change into a low/high mount. This is super impressive.

- 360 Degrees rotatable center turnstile.
As a Cinematographer on set, one of the best features is the ability to take the camera from very low on the ground to bvery high without needing to change low/high mounts. This saves a lot of time and headache on a set.
The Dolly column has a 360° rotatable High-Low-Turnstile for multiple use and can be detached from the base Dolly for easy transport. The batteries are mounted at the bottom of the column. This provides more legroom for the DOP. Furthermore a lower center of gravity of the Dolly is achieved and minimizes the risk of tipping over – thus increasing safety.
The dolly has three steering modes in the basic version: CRAB, FRONT, REAR. The optional Crab & Steer Kit adds the STEER mode with perfect steering geometry. This is made possible by mathematically calculated sprockets in elyptic design. The result is a low-friction, low-noise and smooth maneuvering, even in curves.
